Belorussia is ready to export meat and milk to Japan
On May 20, 2013 Mr.Sergei Rahmanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Japan, visited Okinawa Prefecture. During the visit Mr.Sergei Rahmanov met with Mr.Hirokazu Nakaima, Governor of Okinawa Prefecture. During the meeting the parties discussed the development of interaction between Belarus and Okinawa. Mr.Hirokazu Nakaima marked the readiness of the Japanese side to develop cooperation in different spheres, including agriculture, scientific and educational exchange, tourism.
The Belarusian side made the presentation of Belarus’ export and investment potential for the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Japan. The Japanese side confirmed their interest in importing diary and meat products from Belarus and the organization of food production in our country.
Mr.Sergei Rahmanov met with the professor of the EMRO. The parties considered the issues of EMRO cooperation with the Institute of Radiobiology of the Belarus National Academy of Science in the rehabilitation of the areas that suffered from the disaster at the atomic power station Fukushima-1.
