Arla plans to double sales through e-commerce

Arla announced its intention to double sales of products in Europe through the e-commerce segment - up to 600 million euros, writes The DairyNews.
The company notes that shopping through online platforms is a key trend in 2020 and to this day, under the conditions of local lockdowns buyers are looking for familiar products via the Internet.
The cooperative intends to strengthen its plans to increase its presence in e-commerce in the next 3-5 years. They expect to increase investment in this area and increase the number of employees employed in e-commerce.
‘We have a clear goal to become the market leader in sales of products through electronic platforms and to remain the most reliable supplier for our customers. The work on the development of electronic platforms is in full swing,’ commented Peter Carlsen, Executive Director of Arla Europe.
