Argentina’s Milk Production Reached a Record in August
Argentina’s dairy industry produced 1.115 billion litres of milk in August. The figure was described as a record for the month in the source material, which also reported that production had continued to expand during 2026.
Total output from January through August amounted to 7.515 billion litres. That cumulative figure covers the first eight months of the year and places the August production within the sector’s reported 2026 total.
Production in the January-August period was 4.5% higher than in the corresponding period of 2025. The comparison concerns the same eight-month span in the two years, rather than August alone.
The sector recorded year-on-year growth for 22 consecutive months. The reported run includes the period through August 2026 and refers to successive comparisons with the corresponding periods of the previous year.
The source also stated that the pace of expansion had begun to moderate. It did not provide a separate rate for August, identify a specific cause for the change, or give a forecast for the remainder of 2026.
