90% of processing enterprises are registered in the Honest mark system

‘An analysis of the preparations for the introduction of labeling for dairy products with an expiration date of less than 40 days since December 1, 2021 shows that individual entrepreneurs, unlike legal entities, demonstrate less activity in connecting to the Honest mark system,’ he said. ‘According to the operator-CATD, 90% legal entities are registered in the system and 79% of individual entrepreneurs. I would like to urge contractors to step up their work and remind all participants that the fact of registration in the information system is not 100% readiness, because you need to go through a huge number of business processes, test and work out the whole range of measures for the identification of dairy products.

According to the speaker, there are 133 integrator companies operating in Russia, which for the most part supply equipment within the deadlines set by contracts. Cases of delays in deliveries are "targeted" by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation together with the operator. The temporary solutions are formed in close contact with the CATD.

‘I hope that in most cases they will not be used, but if, indeed, integrators, due to various factors, are not be able to ensure the operation of individual lines, then the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, together with the CATD, calculate all possible risks and look for ways to comply with the labeling rules,’ said the representative of the department. ‘It is important for us that dairy producers continue their work without stopping production.’

As the expert explained, 87 printing houses are currently shipping labeled packaging in Russia. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has information that since December 1, 2021, the planned volume of deliveries of packaging with applied identification means will be increased.

He also noted that at the request of market participants, the definition of the term "consumer packaging" and its use in regulatory legal acts are being discussed.

On October 21, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent a request to Rospotrebnadzor to provide a position on the interpretation of the term "consumer packaging".
